ject for discussion used to be considered as heresy by which
repentance would be unacceptable.
Thus, the Islamic call was a sharp reversal in the free-
dom of thinking since it considered the mind as the guiding
power to understand laws and interpret texts.
If the Islamic civilization since the foundation of its
project and the launching of the Prophetic mission has
caused a revolution in the behavior and thinking, introduc-
ing itself as an enlightenment substitute for the prevailing
ideals on the basis of transferring a person from darkness to
light, particularly as it succeeded in the attainment of this
goal. Hence its impact emerged in the congregation around
Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and uniting in support of the
Prophetic message. Despite that, the Islamic civilization did
not detach itself from others or express hostility to any of
the surrounding religions and ideals. It did not confine it-
self but, to the contrary, was confidently open to all positive
and necessary issues influencing the evolution of human-
ity and ease of life. Accordingly, it recognized Christianity
and Judaism as divine religions that unite the Creator and
maintain resurrection and did not ignore the virtues of the
Jaahliya.
In addition, it did not antagonize the Sabianism and the
followers of this religion who lived in the Arab Peninsula.
