tools, and ways of construction whereby. Hence, the word
"Civilization"conveys the same meaning and intersects
with the word "Urbanism"in many issues.
If we try to propose an obvious definition for it, we can
benefit from the definition of the word "Urbanism"because
of the practical interaction between the two concepts.
Civilization, like urbanism, is not reached or crystallized
unless the concerned humanitarian community is supplied
by good living conditions that provide it with food secu-
rity and residential stability farther from fear and dread of
short term misfortunes. Therefore, if this group of people
was offered enough time to think and meditate, it would
head towards building the "Civilization"i.e. building urban-
ism in addition to the intellectual, artistic, cultural, and ur-
ban production which should have a close relationship with
Gods, Allah, and research abstract from materialism and its
requirements.
Consequently, it is possible to build a civilization which
remnants are still tilted on the mouths of rivers such as Nile
and Euphrates or in the commercial centers and seaports
such as Greece. If we are entitled to call or attribute each
civilization to a particular nation, it is not permissible to
consider one nation, excluding the rest, as the only one al-
