statement of Frankfort conference for socialist countries in
1951 as an alternative for the socialist ideology of Marxism.
The democratic republic, military democracy and na-
tional democracy are all forms of "democracy"with various
forms throughout the evolution of history, communities and
means of production and all of these forms agree and dis-
agree on certain issues. Yet they all oppose monarchy and
dictatorship although they perform the same role in domi-
nation and tyranny,
If democracy calls for equality in rights and obligations,
Islam is the biggest advocate of equality. Nonetheless,
equality surpasses the concept of equality in general since
democracy equalizes between the most thoughtful and
knowledgeable people and the most ignorant and incompre-
hensive. Therefore, justice fades away in this case which Is-
lam does not agree upon since Islam prefers knowledgeable
people rather than many who are deprived of this blessing.
Consequently, Allah states the following: "…Allah will
raise those who have believed among you and those who
were given knowledge, by degrees".
