noticing neither the disadvantages attributed to it nor the
twisted roads followed by opportunists to control decision-
making centers and grasp power as a prelude to launch proj-
ects not often complying with the interests of citizens ab-
sorbed by advertisement and lofty speeches. Subsequently,
their freedom becomes a formal freedom as those who win
the elections, constitute the parliament and enact laws that
promote their own interests since positive laws represent
the interests of the powerful who upgrade them to the level
of "constitution".
As aforementioned, democracy, the rule of the majority
resultant from parliamentary elections, acts as a dictator-
ship that controls the sequence of events whereas the mi-
nority constituting almost half of the people can only be
obedient while their interests are subject to threats that de-
crease or increase depending on the ferocity of the control
of this majority which often attains power due to demagog-
ic advertisement, lofty speeches, and exploitation of media
centers and perhaps due to hiding behind the curtains of
bribery and vote-buying. Consequently, we can visualize
democracy as a method of control and exploitation instead
of being a means of prosperity and freedom.
Before we deeply discuss the disadvantages of democ-
racy, we ought to acknowledge that it is concerned with
recognizing the other as a human entity who has the right
