are not dispraised by the Quran , rather, it encourages them
only to learn, and doesn’t consider them on equal footing
with those who know. By so doing, the Quran puts those
who gain knowledge in a level higher than those who don’t.
We look into this matter out of the imperativeness of re-
moving the obstacles that hinder the pursuit of knowledge
and science in an age where the world has become in touch
with stars and galaxies, particularly with the availability
of new knowledge vistas through the Center, which give
glimpses that lightened our road. With the cooperation of
the western participants, we became more resolved to in-
tensify the efforts exerted to develop a new generation who
coexists with other countries of different cultures, thoughts
and even religions. This emphasizes the fact that the Center
is designed to achieve understanding, communication and
work, given that ignorance is one of the most dangerous
peace-threatening risks.
Based on this vision, we have gone along an interesting,
yet thorny, march. It was really an effective and arduous
march whose fruits will soon ripen. We hope to see a rising
generation that leaves fanaticism aside, a generation that
gains all its rights, particularly its right of self-expression
and free choice.
