meet and reach understanding.
Knowledge is power and ignorance is fought by foster-
ing commitment to education, building more free and for-
mal schools, institutes and universities, and boosting co-
operation and participation through the transfer of science
and knowledge. Ignorance cannot be fought only through
prayers, but through ceaseless pursuit and development of
relevant mechanisms and putting them into effect within
the Arab World, which is suffering, in general, from com-
plex ignorance, that is to say, understanding things to the
contrary of their nature. This, in fact, is the worst kind of
ignorance as it leads to practices conducive to injustice and
backwardness.
Here comes our call for walking along the road of dia-
logue in a way that guarantees serious and diligent scientific
cooperation, without giving room for the negative aspects
to overwhelm us.
We, furthermore, call onMuslimscholars and all mosques
to give intensive educational seminars to teach and educate
people in accordance with Islam. We also call on cultural
centers which are responsible for the people’s education
and culture. The Holy Quran dispraises the ignorant and
