Indeed, Marxism was defeated and faded away because
it was immersed in its materialism and exaggerated in de-
nying human privacy and spiritual life.
If we go back to the position of Islam regarding phi-
losophy, we notice that, seeking to preserve the function of
mind and importance of reasoning, we must note that this
mind cannot understand the significant facts, thus cannot
be trusted as the sole source of knowledge. Nevertheless,
it can be relied upon in all matters related to material rela-
tions, but incapable of metaphysical apprehension.
In this regard, we notice that the Holy Quran in Surat
Al-Mulk Verse No.4:
"Then return [your] vision twice again. [Your] vision
will return to you humbled while it is fatigued".

This failure of mind does not mean that Islam has
abandoned it and demolished its role; but to the contrary,
the Islamic thinkers adopted mind and considered it as a
guide for understanding the doctrine and enlightening the
areas of research. Therefore, they replaced philosophy by
