It is not an incident that all the philosophers and think-
ers have adopted the principle of dialogue and accountabil-
ity from Socrates and Aristotle to Hegel who tried to reach
an agreement on the definition of concepts and grasped the
conclusion that intellectual development is linked to dia-
logue between the two ideas with a view to produce a third
idea that is more sophisticated and closer to perfection.
Returning to the dialogue as embraced by Islam, we at-
tain the level of perfection in securing its conditions and
ensuring its findings, based on a novel idea at the time when
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) called the Jews of Najran to
Al-Mubahala (Mutual Cursing- Wrath be on the Liar) and
Al-Mubahala is the result of a long dialogue, which Islam
conducted with the Jews until the Quran Verses have re-
vealed the virtue of Torah and expressed the luster and dig-
nity of the Prophet s of Bani Tarshan in the Words of Allah
written in Surat of Aal-i-Imraan Verse No(61):
"Then whoever argues with you about it after [this]
knowledge has come to you - say, "Come, let us call our
sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves
and yourselves, then supplicate earnestly [together] and in-
voke the curse of Allah upon the liars [among us]".((2(
