Since the commencement of the Prophetic Mission from
its very beginning when Muslims were very few, the poly-
theists sought to entrap and ambush this call as well as pro-
voke the tribes to oppose it, hatch a plot against it and in-
validate the pledges and conventions.
After the Prophet (PBUH) succeeded in resolving the
situation in the Arabian Peninsula, establishing the founda-
tions of its strong country and uniting the tribes on a uni-
fied position under the banner of Islamic State as well as
terminating the disharmony and hostility which dominates
the relationship among the tribes concerned with invasion
and aggression.
The establishment of this young state on the borders of
the Persian and Roman Empire had a great impact on them.
Thus, the conflict was transformed into direct contact be-
tween the Persians and the Holy Roman Empire, especially
that the trade caravans that were roaming the country carry-
ing news about the new religion and spreading its teachings
that quickly found its way towards people’s hearts which
