With respect to ancient Arabs, media took a highly-de-
veloped form when poets were responsible for it through
poetry that includes most of the time eloquent wisdoms
spread by people and then memorized by narrators to be-
come commonly used and then it paves the way for the
establishment of norms and ideals and at the same time
thrives with sermons and guidance.
Subsequently, we could deduce the antiquity of the age
of media with respect to Arab during which and by means
of poetry history was written and virtues were codified.
Thus, as poetry was commonly used and extremely impor-
tant, it formed the oldest media outlet which was of great
importance. In order to prove that, we state the following:
When the sister of Prince Seif El Dawla al-Hamdani
died, the poet Mutanabi wrote a poem in which he mourned
this woman saying:
So grieve the news I received
Horrified I was of believing which
So as hope has faded away
I shed tears until I breathless became
